Magnetool, Inc. offers a range of rectifier controllers that provide reliable DC power to industrial electromagnets. These controllers are essential for controlling the operation of electromagnets, making sure they can hold and release ferrous materials with precision. Whether used in manual or automated settings, magnet controls from Magnetool transform the VAC input voltage to the correct VDC output voltage and provide release cycles, delivering optimal performance in various industrial applications.
NT-110-500 Rectifier Controller
The NT-110-500 combines a toggle switch and rectifier in a single hand held unit. This model is specifically designed for a variety of electromagnet applications, offering 110 VDC output at up to 500 watts. The compact size of 3″ x 5″ x 2-1/4″ makes it a convenient choice for smaller setups, and it can be mounted on the magnet or used as a remote control for more flexibility in operation. With an input voltage of 120 VAC, the NT-110-500 is built for long-term reliability and easy integration into various systems. This magnet control is used for lift magnets, chucks, and many other electromagnet control setups.
MR Series Rectifier Controllers
For applications requiring manual control, the MR Series provides a straightforward solution. These rectifier controllers feature a 3-position manual control switch (On-Off-Release) and are housed in splash-resistant enclosures. Available in both fixed and variable output options, the MR Series includes models that offer 12, 24, or 110 VDC output with wattages ranging from 15 to 300 watts. The MR Series is used for smaller electrochucks, lift magnets, and many other magnet controls.
AU Series Automated Rectifier Controllers
The AU Series are versatile automatic-drop Electromagnet Controls. Often used for simple manual lift-drop applications. The AU Series is also designed for high-speed automated environments. These rectifier controllers feature circuitry that allows for rapid cycling and efficient release cycles, making them perfect for robotics and “pick and place” applications. The AU Series uses a normally open contact, a 120 VAC input signal, or a pilot switch for magnet control. The automatic drop cycle eliminates the need for operator judgment when releasing loads, with an adjustable reverse current pulse that makes reliable material release. The AU Series includes models that offer 12, 24, 110, or 220 VDC output with wattages ranging from 15 to 7500 watts. The AU Series offers options for variable power 0 – 100% VDC output for lifting thin sheets from a stack. The -VPPSU (suffix) option provides PLC controlled variable to full power step up. Low power lifts a single sheet 1” above the stack, then the PLC selects full power for a safe and secure transfer to the drop off position.
SD Series Rectifier Controllers for Chuck Control
The SD Series is made for electromagnetic chuck controls, which require more intensive demagnetization processes. These controllers are equipped with a 7-pulse release cycle, providing a precise and controlled release of materials. The SD Series includes units ranging from 300 watts to 7500 watts, with a power control that can be adjusted from 0 to 100%. The SD-110-300VP, for instance, offers 300 watts of power, while the SD-230-6500VP provides 6500 watts for larger applications. The SD Series provides a main NEMA 12 control enclosure that is often mounted at the back of a machine or wall mounted. The chuck controls include a remote operators station which is mounted at the front machine operator’s control location. The SD Series is for new installations and will replace older equipment including Electromatic Chuck Controls and Neutrofiers.
CC Series Rectifier Controllers for Chuck Control
The CC Series is made for smaller electromagnetic chuck controls, which require more intensive demagnetization processes. These controllers are equipped with a 7-pulse release cycle, providing a precise and controlled release of materials. The CC Series includes units operating 110 or 220 VDC ranging from 300 watts to 500 watts, with a power control that can be adjusted from 0 to 100%. The CC-110-300VP, for instance, offers 110 VDC up to 300 watts of power, while the CC-220-500VP provides 220 VDC at up to 500 watts for larger applications. The CC Series is provided in an 8″ x 9″ x 6″ deep splash resistant enclosure. All control features are built into the front panel. The CC Series is for new installations and will replace older equipment including Electromatic Chuck Controls and Neutrofiers.
MA Series Rectifier Controllers
The MA Series is ideal for applications that require manual drop Magnet Controls. The MA Series features On-Off-Release functions allowing for manual drop electromagnet control. The MA Series allows for a dribble or fanning function. A simple switch from ON to OFF (for one second) back to ON allows the operator to dribble off one plate at a time. A large magnet may lift four sheets of steel ⅜” thick. Using the dribble function allows the operator to retain 1, 2, or 3 sheets for a safe effective transfer of single or multiple sheets. These units feature oil-tight enclosures and an isolation transformer with dual-voltage single-phase input. These magnet controls are equipped with a 3-position toggle switch (On-Off-Release), providing easy manual control. The MA Series is available in wattages ranging from 50 to 5000 watts, with options for variable power and remote control.
RHD Series Rectifier Controllers
The RHD Series are stand alone Rectifiers designed to be used with large Scrap Magnets, Lift Systems, and Overbelt Separator Magnets. The RHD Series is often paired with external lift-drop controllers for more versatile electromagnet control features. Available for 110 and 220 VDC from 1000 watts to 15,000 watts. Larger systems are available upon request. Consult factory for sizing and quotes.
RC1 Series Remote Operating Switch for Magnet Controls
The RC1 Series Remote Operating switch connects to AU or MA Series magnet controls and is an easily installed, inexpensive option. Consult factory for model numbers and quotes.
BB Series Battery Back-Up Systems for Rectifier Controllers
The BB Series Battery Back-Up Systems provide emergency back up power for lift magnet control systems. Systems are available for up to 200 amps at 230 VDC. Consult factory for sizing and quotes.
BL Series Battery Operated Lift Magnets
The BL Series Battery Operated Lift Magnets utilize an onboard battery to provide power and electromagnet controls for the magnet. This eliminates the need for an external Rectifier Controller.
